Saw the Teetotallers yesterday, a band that consists of Kevin Crawford, Martin Hayes and John Doyle. I was well aware of first two from their many projects and seeing them both live, but man, John Doyle blew me away. His accompaniment was great and the songs he sang were excellent too. This one in particular really brought the house down. This version doesn’t have quite as much energy as the concert version - he really seems to feed off the crowd and his fellow musicians on stage - but it still is pretty great and his guitar playing is impressive as hell. And he’s a goofy lefty.
